It will be interesting to see the haters even more now with Ghost. I think more people now will hate them because more mainstream types are into them...almost like what happened with Dragonforce.
I am a fan, not a superfan. I like a bunch of songs off the first album and they are really good live. Not a band that I go nuts for or have to have everything by.
It would have been interesting if they didnt take off as much and stayed underground....would these haters now love them?

Well, I think they are an easy target, having a gimmick.
If you didnt like the sound before, its just even easier to slam em because of mainstream attention.
I just think the new song sounds like Ghost copying Ghost.
I still might get the new one when it comes out.

I think the new song is easier to slam because of the stupid circus music. I don't know what goes through some people's heads sometimes. It's just embarrassing to listen to.

At least their first album was mainly doom metal with 70s hard rock/prog vibe trying to be like Mercyful Fate.

People have said they have a Mercyful Fate vibe. I personally don't really see it. An evil Blue Oyster Cult? Sure.
