The tour just ended last night. Relax man, Chris will get back to you as soon as he can. Its not like the old days when he was in Jag Panzer and he didnt have much "publicity" shit to do. Hes a high profile guy now so it takes time to get a response.

I can answer some of these for you actually.

As for How long it takes to develop that technique. Its all about how much you practice. If you practice often It could take a year maybe less if you are really disciplined. I have 2 kids and a wife and it took me almost a year to master it practicing an hour and a half each day. For some people its natural for me it wasn't.

As for Chris's Endorsment:
The Ibanez custom shop will build custom for anyone for the right price. Being a former Ibanez Endorsee in the early 90s, the only guys then that had FULL endorsements were the guys that had a "Signature" model. Not a stock model. I had a 50% deal where I paid 50% of retail for all my gear.

Nowadays I am not positive HOW Ibanez does it, its been almost 20 years, but I am sure it hasn't changed much.

Chris "probably" gets his model free NOW that he is in a high profile band. Im sure the deal of his endorsement must remain a secret as most deals are. So honestly my thought is your chance of getting that answered is slim to none....lol

Of course none of these answers are "official" or from Chris ...lol

As for the S vs RG, The S to me is a better sounding instrument, and now that they make a 24 fret model its even better in my opinion. The Mahogany body is just such a great sounds, and the guitar is unbelievably light and comfortable to play. My RG "feels" a bit better in my hands, but hands down my S's tone blows away my RG. Thats just my opinion though.

As for the S vs RG, The S to me is a better sounding instrument, and now that they make a 24 fret model its even better in my opinion. The Mahogany body is just such a great sounds, and the guitar is unbelievably light and comfortable to play. My RG "feels" a bit better in my hands, but hands down my S's tone blows away my RG. Thats just my opinion though.

I've seen where Ibanez is premiering the "S" 24 fret model at this year's NAMM ( although changing the name to S7420 - no longer 7320 with the 24 frets ). Looks like some interesting 7's this year with an RGA7 as well as a diamond cut body Prestige if the leaks are true. I'll be intersted to see the specs ( neck profile/radius/where produced ). Hopefully Ibanez is getting some interest and paving the way for a CB Signature down the road!

I see it does mention Chris Broderick ( Megadeth ) - and does give some specs, so definitely seems to be designed after Chris' LACS7 with some obvious mass market appeal differences ( too bad no reverse headstock ).

For those that don't know Ikebe-Gakki is a Japanese store that usually has some different higher-end guitars than what is available in the U.S. but can be bought here in the U.S. with shipping/custom charges ( I've purchased a couple there myself , a Transparent Burnt Blue 7 - TBB7 & HRG7 black stain mahogany )

1. I practice varying amounts daily but I would guess an average of 5 hours a day, and with that I still feel like I am developing these techniques.

2. the reason is because I prefer 7 string RGA guitars and didn't want Ibanez to waist money building me custom 6 string guitars but I needed the ZR trem (the best trem IMHO) which is only on the S series production model. The funny thing is that I told them I wanted to push a production model (thinking I would help them out) and now they want to market me as an RGA player(which I prefer) so they are now building me a custom RGA 6 Ahahahaha.

3. Jason Becker is one of my all time favorite guitarist and I am listening to William Kanengiser right now

4. I am lucky enough to not have to pay for my LACS 7 strings now but it took a long time and it really is about marketing and not ability.

That is quite disappointing to me on Ibanez's behalf since it seems to have some similarities to what I have wanted them to release as a sig. The one saving grace is I am very particular about how the guitar plays and have no doubt that that was not taken into consideration for this guitar.

I was wondering about this myself Chris ( or if you were even aware )! I still could see & hope for the marketability for a signature guitar down the road ( especially with the American Carnage Tour & Big Four now confirmed for at least Sonisphere in Switzerland ). If they were going that far, I would have liked to have seen passive pu routes, reverse headstock, etc. like yours. Being a fan of the Wizard neck profiles as opposed to Wizard II ( I've actually had the shoulders shaved on a couple of my Wizard II to a wizard profile ), the 5pcs Maple/Wenge “UV” Prestige neck should at least be more along these lines - know they can't please everyone. I'm sure this will be a Japan only guitar and at almost $2400 U.S. dollars, approx. $150 S/H, 8% customs - makes me want to see what NAMM 2011 will bring. Maybe they'll do a CB Signature next year of your Trans-white for the next step. Til' then ya ought to at least get royalties on this Prestige RGA427Z-DSH - looks to even have the scuplted horns. Ha!

if things dont break up with ibanez and you will get a RGA signature i want to suggest you to be an affordable thing.

Actual RGA427 is a prestige model that cost 2200$/€. I love this model (well i've follen in love for your guitar since i've seen the video "Chris Broderick - Nevermore rehearsal 7/29/07" on youtube!) but it's fairly overpriced!

I think that a clone of your RGA7, but korean/indonesian made, with bolton neck and decent passives with price well and market better!

PS: i've seen your performance on roadrunnertv and i think we need some more video of your just like in the old days!

I agree with this guy a 100% Ibanez needs to make a good sig model at a quality price. Like Agile does with there guitars. yeah that would be awesome! We would love to see some new footage of you shredding! Perhaps shredding how the story ends solo the whole thing?

When it comes to guitars you get what you pay for.

You cant compare an Agile to JAP Ibanez, the J Series is just SICK. The stuff you see on the shelf in Guitar Center is just utter shit. My custom RG is an amazing instrument. Noting in the world compares to it.

Agile are good guitars for the money, but put it up against a prestige Ibanez or J series and you will see a HUGE difference in quality.
