I was reading total guitar recently and it gave the top 100 riffs of all time and 4 of the top 5 were metal riffs!

I have quite a few favourites mainly intro riffs such as the intro to CoB - Towards Dead End or the intro to Wintersun - Beyond the Dark sun. I have many more but can't be arsed to think right now.

I hate all of those top things that magazines do, because all it turns into is a list of 100 mainstream things. As if music in the mainstream doesn't get enough recognition as it is.
