It is mono. Unless you have two amps. You can use two cables safely but it would be pointless.

I only have a half stack, so when I get the bottom piece, I'll use that other cable, eh? And set it to 8ohms Stereo? I'll pick up the other piece next yeer.
The kind of noises I get is like an "airy" noise from the amp I guess, and also perhaps the guitar makes a hum noise, I guess from the pickups? The "air" sound comes from the amp and the "hum" comes from the guitar. I've got fancy monster cables too, and it's in a room by itself, so there's no interference.

NO....It will not be stereo. Most tube amps are not capable of stereo. To run stereo you would need two amps not necessarily two cabs.
