8 string guitar

so your six string bass has a invisible 7th string?
What? Look again! It's tuned B(1)E(2)A(3)D(4)F#(5)B(6)

You silly goose.

EDIT: God dammit I am such a dumbass nevermind. I just got pwn3d. I won't edit my other post, because I want to show people you don't have to be perfect EVERY time lol! I'm perfectly capable of playing a 7 string bass, btw. Or even an 8 or 9 for that matter. 10 is pushing it a little, though, but I love extended range basses!

Chapman Stick? No doubt I'll try one of those. They probably have one of the most incredible sounds you could make with a stringed instrument! In fact, my brother, who is an incredible guitar and ONLY guitar player says he would try out the Chapman Stick if he had the chance. Of course, he could just go get one it doesn't seem too difficult for him to get expensive instruments.

And as for the dispute between F# and G, well, I like F# better because it's tuned more like a guitar. If my strings were small enough I'd tune it EADGBE.
