For a guy in California to score a pass to the two day show...think there is a chance? I am not sure since I haven't been to a PP show because each time I had other things going on but this might be my year!

What I want to know (other then a full proof plan) is ticketmaster via phone, on line or at a local outlet the best way to go about getting one? It seems 800 tickets will sell out in a sec then again I am not sure .

Just asking the veteran concert goers for any tips!!! :) I appreciate any help you can give to this newb! ;) Cheers, Antonio

Those of us intending on attending our first PP from Texas would be interested too.:p However, Ticketbastard is what they are. I think 200 Golds is a little too much though. I can understand a few, but having 20% of the people there with special privileges and access is a little too discriminatory against potential fans IMO.

ThXinc thanks for the post man, I totaly mirror your view on ticketbastard! I mean after all is said and done how much of that money will be given to the promoters let alone the bands...not much I am willing to bet.

I don't mind paying the prices for a good show, what usually pisses me off is that they got a stranglehold on the ticket industry and they can do as they wish...jacking up processing prices and handling costs, etc, etc. Nuff with the bitch session...

As for the gold badges I don't know too much about the details. My guess these special passes are probably more for the media and retailers and some fan club members of sorts. I don't mind that they have these type of passes after all a lot of these people deserve them...however it would be nice to allow for some extra to go to the public. Anyhoot...I just really want to get a ticket and attend the show. It's going to cost me an arm and leg to make the journey from CA to GA but will be worth it as I don't get a chance to see such great bands come to the states.

If things go well maybe I will get lucky with some buddies of mine and save cost on hotel rooms and what not. Good luck to you and your buddies in TEXAS ;), hope to see you all there! Cheers, Antonio (a European Metal Head in Sun and Surf California)

buy them the day they go on sale..

plan ahead and save that $$$

= no problem of getting tickets

that's what I did last year, I was not one of the poeple who put it off to be disappointed a week later when it sold out.. sorry, under a week.. but you get my point.

I have no problem with the buying I was just concerned that 800 tickets would sell out fast. I am assuming its general admission (other then gold badge members) so I don't need to worry about seating (who's going to sit anyway? :) ). I'll take your word for it and get on the phone or on line first thing they go on sale! :)

Try more close to 300 GB's. People that buy Gold Badges were buying them blind, without knowing the fest lineup. That goes pretty far in my opinion showing support and while yourself and alot of other people might not like it, it is one of the ways that helps Glenn gets the fest going. So please lay off the discriminatory remarks.

I would suggest being on the ball the day the tix go on sale to insure you get yours. Also I am sure that Gold Badges will be avalible on EBAY.

Check the FAQ on the PPUSA site for more info.

I wanted to buy a gold badge but I dont think thats happening now. LOL Can some one tell me how exactly you can purchase one for maybe next year? I probably came in too late when they sold out.

Just go to ticketmaster.com, register your info in advance so that you have all your name/credit card info saved, then wait for the tix to go on sale. Doing this allows you to make your purchase at sale time by simply clicking one button, without having to enter all your info. Set up a few minutes early, and keep hitting the 'refresh' button on your browser until tickets are made available. You'll have no problems, save for maybe a 3 minute hassle. The show is all general admission, so as long as you get the tickets, you're fine.

Hope this helps.

This is what I did for last year. SAVED money ( this year Im donating plasma twice a week and dumping the 45 bucks a week into my PP IV fund, hell thats a good bit from now until the event) and the day tix went on sale I set my alarm clock got up and placedd my order the minute they went on sale. Of course this was all a moot point because I bought a gold badge from a guy the day of the event . Hey Thxinc.. which part of Tx are you from man?
