Did a rough mix of your song. Drums are Slate toms + hats, custom snare sample, LSD kick.
I even undusted my old trusty Marshall for you to reamp the guitars, because I thought it would fit the style pretty well.
Didn't do much to the vocals yet and had no time to do all the automations. Might finish it on the weekend.

Maggot, I bought my rockmaster for about 200$ in ebay 4 months ago and I love it.

For my taste the guitars could have a little more mids. But it's OK. It depends on everybodys taste.

I think your mix sounds very interesting. Kind of rough in a positive way. (Because of the Vintage Drums) It reminds me to the old Strapping Young Lad Stuff. (Listen to "Detox")

I like the bassdrum. So nontypical for metal. ;-)

klingt doch ganz gut soweit. Vlt noch bissl an der Ridebell velocity spielen. Die Steven Slates sind doch immer so gnadenlos ;-)


Und das ist ein alter Marshall? Welcher denn? What Marshall amp is it?
While the breakdown intro guitar, there is a little sound of the amp in the background. Loving it ;-)

It's there because I was too lazy =)
The amp is a Marshall JTM-60, full valve-powered, from the mid 90s. It sounds more like a vintage rock amp, but with a tubescreamer and a 10-band EQ it sounds pretty decent sometimes.

not sure if I like the snare, guess the mix is a bit scooped overall and maybe pumping a bit (quick mastering approach only)
also vocal level still need some automation, but Im done for today

thanx for uploading, was a nice to practise some mixing with it

btw: some of your harsh vocals sound a lot like Kral (ex Mercenary), I like that

Which amplitube preset? any tweaking? I can never get amplitube to sound like anything but tiny shrill crap.

Thanks for the song, I really enjoyed producing it.

- Reamped guitars and bass thru a Uberchall.
- Superior and Slate for drums.
- There are quiet and loud sections in my version, its not maximised.
- I have used lots of lows in the guitars and backed off the lows in the bass.
- I have not used all of the parts provided, I just used the bits I liked the most.
