the reason it looks like the ravan is being splattered is because you have no prey bits only blood, maybe stick in a few bits of sparrow or shrew or something....

same here, i saw you and was gonna bug ya but i didn't i couldn't sleep either, i have/had to make a picture that just wasn't turning out the way the guy wanted it so i was a bit pissed over it. it is a nice concept but it doesn't work nor do i think it's entirely appropriate, oh well.. i'm almost done putting another bird in with the raven... will post in a few

No, it's not. Really conveys motion, whereas the first one could be seen as standstill or midflight.

Aye, that new one's very cool. My only weeny gripe would be the minced up bird's head - it looks like it's coming off unnaturally, too rigidly...reminds me of those old school pictures from the Middle Ages where dudes have bits of their bodies taken off, you know how they always seem to look like they're having tea with a vicar even though they're being severely amputated? Hmmm...sorry, just what popped into my head. At the end of the day it's a damn fine pic and will probably end up as my wallpaper
