But I was wondering how they can get a promo if they do not work for a media. I mean, of course it's a shame to sell it afterwards but how can people like you and me get a promo

If i can get a promo CD for metalchroniques, i will. But never will I sell it or put it on the web after.

Well a promotion includes lot of people, imagine: fanzines, magazines, radios, webzines, organisations and all that, so in all this there's a few cunts.
Here at the label we had lot of people trying to trick us to get 2 promos..." oh seems the mail got lost" - " hmm can you send 2 because i work for differents medias" - " hey i have 2 adresses can you send 2 cd's " ETC ETC.
How many of our band's promo cd's i saw in second hand stores :Smug:

Yeah I should have guessed. Still I don't understand why they do that ... I mean selling it for 1.5€ ... That's just lame !

sure you can not pay for it, but you wouldn't get the item and you'd get bad feedback, but you could get the blokes details probably, you'd have to negotiate carefully depedning on what details were available straight after the auction ended.

I reckon you should arrange to go and pick it up from his house, no matter where it is, pay him, get the disc off him, and when you're done take a quick snapshot of the front of the house and him, for your "fan journal" or something, THEN personally deliver the disc, the photo, the bloke's address, and directions on how to get there, to MFN's head office.

it's easier to just get MFN to investigate who the person is from just asking ebay for his details. They'll have his address I think

mind you the cd's i saw in the store were around 10/15 euros...( most of our promo are normal cd like, with the booklet and that, only a few of our bands do cardboard promos )
