about amps

The Tripple XXX does the job pretty well for me, 3 independent channels and a shitload of gain. Nice warm tone as well. You can get one for about 900$US on Ebay. ENGLs and Bogners are way better in my opinion, but sometimes you just don't need to sound that good, and you don't really want to pay that much neither.

For the cab I would recommand Mesa Recto oversized, huge cab with lots of bottomz.

Did anyone say Fender amps sound dry? Man, it's clean tone from heaven. Long live the Twin.
oh i know, the clean tones of a fender are beautiful, but for hi gain, its no contest against the tube amps of bogner, marshall, ENGl, PEAVY, and MESA. \

there is one exception to this though, LANEY. i saw opeth live this month, and they use laney full stacks, straight up, no bullshit. probably because a lot of their songs use clean tones. They also had a good high gain tone as well

Why not just get some speakers off ebay and build a 4x12 cab??

its not that hard..

MAxe a box with sepaker holes and wire up inputs!

we`re in the process of starting a band at the moment (2 guitarrists, bassist, keyboarder an a drummer we`re still trying to get into the band). As I already mentioned all I have as a guitar-amp is a Marshall G30RCD (30W-combo) and at the moment I can`t afford a great amp.
now I`ve heard a lot of good things about that Behringer-cabinets and I know a store hear that sells them (BG412H and BG412S). If I need more power for rehearsing and what not (which is likely) would it be a good Idea to get one of those cabs and use the lineout of my marshall to run it through the behringer until I have the money to buy a good amp?
What are the main differences between the BG412H and the BG412S? any experience with how the sound?
also: how would one of those cabs sound with an ENGL head (lets say a Powerball)?
