I'd have to say one of the oddest abrupt endings is Megadeth's Liar off of So far so good so what. It sounds like maybe they were going to go into a different riff and have another part to the song and said...naw that doesn't work...but we're gonna leave that riff in there anyway.

I think is some kind of sci-fi story about a machine mastermind... trying to "assimilate" (yeah, like the borgs) humans... "twisted baptism of fire, between machine and man".

Or something like that...

I always pictured a "Matrix" like world when I listen to CotM...it just seems to fit..

I think your thinking of a "Mainstream" Label company...
