About done with this mix, and critiques??

I'd maybe turn the vocals up they get abit lost in the mix in places.

Great song & mix!!!!

I'd really recommend changing that kick. the oh's seem to be overpowering also. and did you over compress or something?

Drums, yikes man. Honestly, everything is sitting pretty good in the mix as far as frequencies are concerned, but that snare is just (for lack of a better word) bad. The kick is also a little obnoxiously clicky. Those are my only two grips with this

Thanks for the tips guys! I think I've worked some of the problems out that I had noticed (clipping, and snare troubles). The snare I can't really do much about because it's the drummer's snare blended with another to add more snap and make it sound better, and he likes it. I did however change the eq on it (added some low-end to reduce the nasty high-end tail). And for the kick, made it a little less clicky without completely destroying it's presence. How do you all think the guitars sounded?

Man that kick... But thats already been said. The lead guitars sound good, I might add a little more low end to the rhthym guitars, I feel like they lack a little punch. Clean vocals seem okay, maybe automate the screams a little for the places where they aren't loud enough?

haha why does everyone hate this kick?

The actual kick sample might be fine. In my opinion it has the clap you want (as opposed to a "click" ) but it just has an off-putting "guy using a drum brain for his kick though a P.A. at a gig" sound.

That's just me though.

I would mess around with the EQ of the mid-high and high Freq.

I think the low sits good.

Edit: huh huh "it has the clap"

hmm...the mix sounds very scooped in general I miss some mids, and the harsh vocals are quite thin/high mid heavy it seems (dunno if I should comment on vocals though )
guitars could use some more space in the mix and the cymbals are too bright/attacky for my tastes..they seem to have a lot of space in the mix in general
