ACCEPT!

Oh fuck me! This is awsome. The Balls to the wall riff is definately one that has to be played on every new amp I try!
Congrats Andy,

Same here... actually the first time i heard this song was when Chimaira released a (badass) cover of it.

The Fozzy cover was nice too (remember seeing a live video with Andy on guitars as well).

Man, udo still reminds me of a troll or hobbit. I've never been able to take this band seriously or get into the music... the lyrics just sound like a fuckin gremlin or dwarf pissed off.

Now, somebody please get Andy and King Diamond hooked up.

Seriously.

+1 - "In the Fire" is the closest to the real thing, thanks to Andy:kickass:.

Now…. Accept without Udo will be a real big challenge. Wolf is a very smart songwriter, he is able to capture the essence of the classic stuff and use it on the new songs, like he did in “Objection Overruled” and “Death Row”. But something happened back in '89 with “Eat the Heat”… I guess they tried to go with the trend… ended up replacing Udo and using some Journey and Foreigner flavours…. the worse Accept album IMO:puke:.

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to this one. I’m confident you will sort this one out Andy.

Why oh Why doesn't Iron Maiden get hold of Andy?
Judging from the productions of their last 2 albums they seriously need a genius.

Anyway, how is Accept doing? Any news?

Andy I didn't read your whole post but are you recording that at Michaels new studio? Wagener that is..

yeah bit of news. I went and met Wolf and Peter a week or so ago, all went well. There's some cool ideas floating around. It was interesting pointing out to the guys what I felt were classic Accept trade marks as I feel they need to keep as much identity in their music as possible. That german anthemic quality which I feel they forgot about a touch on later albums.
Listening to Balls to the Wall, I have to say Udo was pretty killer on that record, certainly a high point for him vocally so its going to be tough to match that sort of quality. But the vibe is good, very positive, there's some real classic metal ideas knocking around and we will start in earnest on this in October. I think Mark can do it, especially as wolf and peter used to write alot of the stuff. I'm also not overlooking the style that stefan used to put into his playing. Very Cozy Powell when you listen, alot of Rainbow fills snuck under the radar. I'm happy to be involved tho, its something a bit different for me and they seem very cool guys to work with.
As far as where we will record, this is undecided at the moment but wolf is in full DIY mode kiting a rehearsal space out in his basement.

That's awesome!!!!

WTF, doesn't Andy already play in KD? :loco:
Seriously, I'd like that, but it'd be kinda hard to knock KD's Andy out of producer's chair to install the other Andy in there...

I think no producer can help them, not even Andy, if they don't improve their songwriting, seems like they've lost it along the way... BNW still had some of that old spark left, but it soon all got lost. They don't seem cohesive to me and I don't feel they have the desire to do their thing, it's more like they're doing their day jobs and appearing regularly at their work spots.
Such a desire was very apparent on Bruce's solo works...

KD and A.Sneap.... my dying wish. Ha, I'd bet he'd push him vocally too !

Can't wait to hear the new Accept though !
