acoustic guitar strings

What are your favourite acoustic strings and why?

I'm home during university holidays and i'm mostly playing my mums acoustic, a big old dreadnought by Aria. It's actually quite a nice guitar but the strings are completely dead.

Elixir for me!
Those coated strings sound good and last for ages!!

This is where the elixir phospher bronze come in big style mate. If you intend to record, i'd still go with d'addario but for me I dont do a huge deal of acoustic playing to warrant regular set changes. I tend to pick it up around the house and record the odd bit, and these things keep the acoustic tip top all the time for that. String life matters a lot more to me on acoustics than electrics, so the elixirs really hit the nail on the head.

Oh yeah I put on my first set of Elixirs and will never go back, amazing.

I like Ernie Ball Earthwoods. Never tried the Elixirs though.
