I auditioned a few sets of monitors a couple years ago around the 1000$ mark. The Adams, dynaudios, among others. I ended up with yamahas. But I did like the sound of the adams quite a bit, nice highs, nice speaker to listen to. But I preferred the 8 inch yamahas a bit more for mixing. Just a preference though, not better just different, and a little cheaper I believe.
