advice for setting up guitar(total beginner)

anybody know anything about a simple setup for electric guitars?due to the climate change the string height on my guitar has dropped and now its too close to the pickups.
i'm alittle poor after christmas/new years so i can't afford to pay for a setup from the shop. So can anybody give me a simple easy tutorial on setting up my guitar? thanks and happy new year!

Hi, there are lots of tuts on youtube about this.

Most things could be done yourself but setting the neck relief is best left to those who have experience and know what they're doing.

Agreed on not paying for a setup. Nobody can set your guitar up as well as yourself (if you learn how to do it properly) because no one knows how you play what your necesities and personal taste are as well as yourself.

I was going to post the same post because every guitar shop in the town just closed any another site or link can help me doing the whole setup my self? thanks guys
