advice on buying Amp

i need a new amp.i got a marshall valvestate vs30r(30w). and a jackson rr24
what amp whud you suggest to have a sound similar to COB or a pedal.

If you play music in that genre, try a 6505, they got a very middi tone thats good for that Cob sound, also for a lot heavier stuff.
If you want the exact same, go for the Marshall Kerry King Amp.

There may be some hints in the gear thread... but have in mind that it is no walk in the park to sound like Bodom (I suppose you mean "similar to Alexi" when to say "similar to COB"...)

Ok,i didnt say i have a limit of 500$.I called some music shops and they offered me a Marshall AVT 100(100w) and a Roland Cube 80X(80w).These two are in the price limit so what do you think.

Agreed your budget is kinda low. But in that price range I would definitely check out some used 5150's/6505's on ebay. You can probably score one for around $500 and they are mean fuckin amps. But I would recommend you try whatever you want to purchase first so you know if you like how it sounds.

The 6505+ combo should be out soon enough, and it should be going for around 600-700, so it's not too much over your budget. Just save till it comes out.

OK so im gonna take a move and buy one of these two amps.Witch is better for a Hatebreeder sound and do i need a pedal for this sound.

Never played the 1x12 since it's pretty new, so not sure on differences, but I think it's pretty much the same as the 2x12 just smaller. But the 6505 combo isn't going to quite nail the hatebreeder sound. It's a really heavy amp, so it's great for metal, but not quite the hatebreeder sound, and I think alexi used it for something wild (actually a 5150, but it's the exact same amp). Not sure what else could really nail hatebreeder tone besides the GP1000. I recommend that you go out to a local music store and try out a bunch of amps if you can.

Also try looking/testing some ENGL's. The Fireball IIRC is cheaper than the 6505.

From the clips i've heard it's a big nasty motherfucker.

Ok so now I need a few opinions on what to buy =P

In a month or two I'm going to start shopping for a new amp, but I'm not sure what I want...

I have a few things in mind though: Randall ninja V2, Peavey 6505+, or maybe a marshall, but i'm not sure what yet =P
If I go marshall it's between the JVM and KK...

Any thoughts or advice?

I'd say look into a Peavey Valveking. Best amp for the price IMO.
I use this amp as a 2x12 in school and it sounds absolutely killer. My sister has a 1x12 version of it that kills too.

Sound clip that I think is fitting proving that it can indeed do metal (and in my opinion better than the dreaded 6505/5150):



But of course you'll find bad clips too. It all depends on the player and also the guitar. In my experience it's got more than enough gain, so it handles medium output p-ups better. I prefer a Seymour Duncan Screamin Demon.

i was looking on the net and i saw that the new Peavey 6505 plus 112 combo is coming out in october its gonna cost about 720$.i dont have place for a 6505 head and a cabinet.
