Aeternus

I heard they are a very good dark metal band, I purchased, '...and so the night became', and I wasn't too impressed anyone know if there are any better aeternus albums? or is 'ASTHNB' as good as they get?

I have A Darker Monument and personally I don't consider it that good. I could never really get into it, I found it to be pretty boring. I never heard anything about them when I bought the album, but personally I'd have to say they aren't very impressive.

I had one album by them many, many years ago. I think it was quite average.

Aeternus started off as a black metal sounding band (with deep death metal vocals). The first album "Beyond The Wandering Moon" is pretty good, and has a folk / pagan-ish feel to it. Anything after "...And So The Night Became" is average.
