I would agree it's their worst album, but still, the "worst" Amon Amarth album is about 437.6x better than most other crap out there. Plus, it DOES have 2 of their best songs (title track & "Pursuit of Vikings").

Amon Amarth = max volume, headbang, drive fast, show the horns, moshpit, blitzkrieg fury, blarghu, drink vodka, piss and venom in your veins...... ...except maybe some of their early material I suppose.

"Where Death Seems to Dwell" (or whatever it's called) is an awesome song too. I hope I'm thinking of the right one... that song with the intro that crushes into the double bass and stuff.

Category B = "Land of the Free", "Versus the World", "Hail to England", "Twilight of the Idols", and "Peace Sells" (ABSOLUTE GUILT TO THE MAX, sits next to my beer fridge and porn)

That said,

A + B = Exceptional, best of breed, 'my collection is incomplete without it' METAL.

Yeah, in the rare case when I present my "Top 3 albums Ever", Stormcrowfleet is absolutely on that very list. I cannot describe the atmosphere of this album with words, it is a truly unique and essential experience that will stir emotions that you didn't know you had.

You're trying to pick a fight I know, but look, I neither drink wine or read Charles Dickens.

But let's not F about here, there is some metal music that is "elite" or "intellectual" and others that is thrash metal terror etc. I'm not saying one is better than the other, just making the distinction.

And by the way, it wasn't 6 months ago that you thought Manowar was a gay guilty pleasure. And the fact is, they are but there's nothing wrong with it.
