anyone that is pretentious is lame. being somewhat confident is healthy, but being fucking arrogant? i hate pricks like that (not applying that to the agalloch guys, or whoever the professor is, but in general)

i would like to be a little more confident, since i have basically none. but if i ever raise it, it'll never reach arrogance.

I think college professors (such as Anderson) are allowed to be pretentious...I think they kind of earned it.

I would hardly call it pretentious, it's more so educated, very opinionated and passionate. Read between the lines.

I love Agalloch. The vocals are amazing until the lead singer goes into his Golum phase.. but The Mantle is a very different album in my collection. I also got the Agalloch/Nest split LP and it was well worth the money.
