Album sales

Hi, Lionfrost

Do you have permission to tell us how much TNR sold in the Metalzone shops so far. I've seen in the mags that it's still in the top five month-ranking(may) of most sold albums at Metalzone shops.

thx

and CU

Ooooooh, that's top secret info you're asking for, buddy. ;)
But okay, let's put it this way: it's more than 100 and less than 1,000. :D
Seriously though, it is!

usually the really good things don't get attention.. and what does get attention ruins the whole genre (with most things)

like some of the metal bands out there ruining the immage of metal for most of the lesser known bands. i'm always trying to tell people that a lot of metal isn't really like what's on the radio around here or on MTV... lets face it MTV might as well be called raptv or something. because that is like at leats 80% of their programming and like 8% is reality shows (god i hate those too)

it's the same thing with other forms of entertainment (pro wrestling) for example: WWE gives others lesser known companies (like CZW, IWA: MS, etc.) a bad name.

lets see another thing that the mainstream gives a bad name to is Anime, a lot of people think it's just for kids... but i've seen a great & more mature/complicated anime... my name comes from an anime as a matter of fact.

anyway;

i'm afraid that if Novemebrs Doom would become mainstream/really popular that everything i like about the band would change... so as much as i do want them to be reconized for their talent, i'm just worried thing would chang like so many other bands have.

The only time the band changes is when we feel it's time to try something new. We change with every CD we release, but we always remain true to ND. Before we would allow any label to change us, we would end the band, so that is something you would never have to worry about with us.

Can anyone really see a label telling Paul that he needed to change?

Label: "Paul, sing these lyrics."

Paul: "Blow me!"

Label: "Paul, play these song."

Paul: "Blow me, and then blow me again!"

Label: "Paul, cut your hair, it'll improve your image. Oh, and shave your beard too."

Paul: "Blow me, blow me, blow me, blow me, blow me, and when you're done with that, fuck off!"

Look what ROADRUNNER did to pretty-boy James LaBrie

Ok, so I have no proof that the image change was forced by the label, but kind of ironic that once ROADRUNNER signed them, James "toughened" up, no?

that's good to hear man.. i just worry when bands start gettn' more known, ya know.. thankfully Amon Amarth didn't change (one of my favorite bands) and you guys haven't changed in a bad way. so it's all good :headbang:
