....will be preceded by a single on March 3, 2008. Songtitles set to appear on the album include "Pray for the Devil", "Good Morning Roadkill" and "Tie My Rope".

Looks like 'Pretty for the Devil' was changed to a less faggoty name  But seriously, I know that Bodom song titles never were that creative but.... :erk: "Good Morning Roadkill"... seriously...

Still looking forward to hearing them though. :D

I was going to say... To be honest, I don't predict anything special judging by the song titles. Maybe more In Your Face type tracks. Tie My Rope was ok, just felt a little unnatural and choppy to me. We'll see, hopefully the boys can prove me wrong.

But come on, Good Morning Roadkill? :erk:

Me either, I said this AGES ago in the "New Bodom Songs" thread, I will not judge by the names alone. I hated Tie My Rope at first, but only because I had a fucking third rate RADIO-BAM rip. Once I got a proper version I got to liking it, the second half of the song I really like a lot, the first part not as much. Regardless, I wish it wasn't pushed back and that we'd have a single out sooner but whatever, I don't mind waiting if it's going to be great.

Alexi Laiho has told Revolver magazine that he plunged into an alcohol stupor that lasted several months following the completion of the band's two-year tour in support of 2005's "Are You Dead Yet?" "I was so tired of everything and everybody," he said. "I was just like, 'Fuck this, I'm going to get drunk."

 I was at the last two shows of that tour, and I was backstage the second night. I have to say, Alexi was pretty fucking rough. He walked past me, pale as a fucking ghost, piss drunk and sick as shit. He had thrown up on stage earlier also. Too much partying or not enough sleep and proper nutrition I guess contributed to that state, so he was crashed out on the fucking tour bus the entire night. I think he did a lot of partying the night before though so he made up for it. I just hope that helped him to get his shit together and no whe's got his mind back and he'll take care of himself better.

I remember being so exited for AYDY, almost Joonas like, and I was pretty disappointed when it came out. It is a good album, but it strays away from the sound I love from the previous albums. I have no expectations for this album, therefore I can't be let down  The only part I liked of Tie My Rope was the keyboard/guitar interludes, the rest was not my fancy.

THIS ALBUM NEEDZ MOAR KEYBOARDS!!!1

He needs to harden the fuck up!

i actually thought the intro kicked ass. and the keyboard/guitar harmony was super neoclassically technical so that was cool too

Ha, well that is you. I like 1:50-2:05, just before it goes into happy metal, and the interlude at 2:40-3:10 is pure win. The solo sucked, the main riff wasn't to my liking, and the vocals aren't terribly good.

well the one thing you cant deny is that alexi's style has evolved. if you compare the malmsteen scale runs on hatebreeder to the diminished usage(s) on AYDY to the bluesy solo on TMR, there is a definite evolution. Whether its for the better or not, we (obviously) have yet to see :p

+1...

I like when artists evolve. But yes, I do like his old albums best.

Pray for the Devil
Tie My Rope
Roundtrip 2 Hell And Back
Good Morning Roadkill

So now we know 4 song titles already!

Roadkill means animals and things getting killed on the autobahn..

I wonder what the song means.. Is it like that a bum goes to a dead animal and says good morning, or does it mean your habit to start killing when you wake up? I think this could be the title for Trabant.

"Pray For The Devil":erk:

...

The Reaper anyone?

LAME. That would be like.. I dunno, Iron Maiden or smth.. Pray for the Devil is a stylish and dark song title, I hope the song rocks. It could be the Slow song. I thought "Pretty for the Devil" was either Goth or Gay.

People stop fucking complaining, those are cool song titles, and I bet you couldn't come up with better ones.

Btw, is "Pray" a verb or a subject in this case? It could also mean killing for the devil, you know. Just speculation..

I find it interesting (or not...) that there is Tie My Rope and Soap on the Rope (Roope / Guitar Heroes) and Good Morning Roadkill and Roadkill (Roope and Gas Lipstick / Dementia ~1994). Some one is recycling the names.

*Tie My Rope -- Soap on the Rope (Roope's song on Guitar Heroes)
*Good Morning Roadkill -- Roadkill (Roope and Gas Lipstick / Dementia ~1994)
*Roundtrip 2 Hell and Back -- To Hell and Back (Sinergy album title)

It's all Roope's fault!

No, this is fair enough.. I don't care if they make gold out of shit, so to speak.

I can visualize Alexi waking up in hangover next to Janne who's playing Grand Theft Auto on Playstation, I swear it's super fun driving over all the people and destroying everything... (damn I must get playstation back..) then he got an idea for the song title "Good Morning Roadkill"

Yikers, he yaked on stage... Shitty...

I will say that I liked AYDY? It had some cool tunes & it was something different. I would hate it if they were one of those bands that put out 6 of the same fucking album. It's not really that big of a departure.
