Albums currently kicking your ass

Never heard of them, but based on some quick YouTube sampling they sound pretty good. I'm not crazy about the occasional wimpy-harsh vocals and the normal vocals try a bit too hard to channel Scalzi, but everything else seems strong enough. Will check them out further, danke.

It's the new In Solitude album (Sister). From what I've heard of it (admittedly just a few songs) the gothic rock influence is pretty overstated and mostly aesthetic. Jarboe does have a guest appearance on it, though.

As per usual, I'm going to disagree. For me, the album has heavy In the Flat Field and Pornography vibes. The singer sounds like he came straight out of those albums and it just has that overall dark gothic vibe. I was waiting for Bauhaus' Dive to play at any moment through the first playthru.

It's good, seems a lot like the last one. Nothing spectacular, no real variation, no bullshit. Another solid Master album.

Just listened to the full thing and have to admit that the songs I had heard (Lavender, Sister, and Horses in the Ground) were also among the most traditionally metal. Loving it on first impression.
