I don't know really, I guess I just find them kind of shallow. Not bad by any means, but nothing approaching the songwriting shown on Pure Holocaust.

Haven't heard this in for fucking ever, a decade ago people seemed to regularly argue over them and whether they were brilliant or pure neckbeard and no one cares about them anymore. Riffs are a lot better than I remember for still being strongly Dream Theater-style. Ridiculous levels of pomp.

Age of Winters is usually my favourite by them, but then I go through periods of preferring Gods of the Earth just a bit more. Something about them adding some faster elements on it just catches my soul ablaze every now and then.

I don't mind Age of Winters or Gods of the Earth, but something about them just does do it for me. Warp Riders felt like they really started to hit their stride, then they faceplanted hard after that.
