Bought this box set on a blind buy. I was worried, but it's actually quite decent. The originals reign supreme and it's completely unnecessary, yet it's still very entertaining throughout the 3CDs. Hail Summoning!

Several of Angel Dust's albums have amazing cover art. Like this:

Unfortunately their music seems really boring based on what I've heard (just the debut).

First two albums are somewhat generic speed/thrash but the rest is really cool power metal with some progressive elements.

Yeah the first two albums are practically an entirely different band in terms of style (don't know about the line-up). They turned into a groovy Savatage-esque trad/power band.

Making an exception to the band polls and checking this band's discog out since it is free on Prime streaming. Good stuff so far. I like this album more than Awaken the Guardian but I remember what I checked out of the Alder material previously I liked far more.

The vocals on this don't grate me as much as ATG which is probably why I like it more
