uke: Those string quartet tribute albums are bad as it is, I can't believe how awful that one must be.

Phenomenal, although I still prefer The Black Waltz.

I agree that this album kicks ass! What are your favorite songs off it? Personally I love "Gateways" (this song gets stuck in my head for days at a time) and "A Jewel Traced Through Coal" (love the brutality combined with epic chanting).

"Chess with the Abyss" is cool too. But more than half the songs are mediocre.

I didnt like the album that much. Stormblast is in my top five all time of symphonic black metal, though, so my standards are probably too high.

Whoever compared them to BMtH or CoF is just trolling or has their head up their ass.
