Wow. Dear god. I listened to their self titled release earlier this morning and was impressed. Ok, female fronted, ok, unique sound, ok, very enjoyable. Then I threw this on next and wasn't ready. Beautiful album, totally unique, haunting, poetic, gentle, gorgeous. This band is great.

Aeternus - Beyond the Wandering Moon

This album takes a while to fully accustom yourself too I think, because it's so dense. This integrates folk inspired melodies extremely well and Ares' growls are some of the best ever. "Sworn Revenge" is probably the best track here.

I actually remember listening to this a lot when Wrath of the Lich King first came out and I was levelling in Howling Fjord.

I just love how over the top this album is, from the music to the lyrics and the doomsday feel. Dripping with cheese but getting away with it because the atmosphere is awsome. Candlemass fans should like.
