I don't listen mainly for the lyrics. The issue (for me, anyway) is that so much of Nirvana's praise is on the basis of their lyricism and subject matter when there were bands that were doing those things (as well as general composition and musicianship) to a far better degree than Nirvana was.And who the fuck listens to grunge, or even metal mainly for the lyrics?

I was thinking more along the lines of an elephant that was lying on the floor and bleeding to death but yeah, that's pretty unfortunate.
