Sure, you can look at it like that if you're a fan of glam. To me(and a lot of others) it was more like some autistic Seattle plumber who came and cleaned up the filthy sewage that had been building/stinking the place up.

Why would I be a fan of glam if I referred to it as a dying elephant? It was already on its death knell by the late '80s, early '90s.

I'm no huge defender of Nirvana and I do think they're overrated, but @H.P. Lovecraft you like some stuff that is so much more worse than Nirvana, like Marilyn Manson for example and let's not forget that you hate The Cult is Alive and onward era Darkthrone to a degree that I consider irrational.

Everybody should take that into consideration.

For some reason, yeah. I've got all three albums on cd and the first two on vinyl. They're working on a new album actually, I think.

What do you guys think of L'Impero Delle Ombre? Another newish italian doom band.

The problem I had with Black Oath is that I think I've listened to that album a few times and cannot remember a single second of it. L'Impero Delle Ombre I have never heard of, but they don't seem to be that new considering they've been around since the 90s but I'll check em out. I'll probably check both of em out again because I just love doom metal.

That really isn't the case. Cobain himself used to make fun of his lyrics and talk about how he would often just put words together that he thought sounded cool regardless of whether they made sense. I'm unaware of all this praise that you're referring to being heaped upon his lyrics.

Nirvana were a punk rock band primarily. The other major grunge acts weren't, so it's apples and oranges.

I have to say, their third album has been their best in my opinion. You should really check that one out.

I thought the album I Compagni di Baal sounded familiar but what I have is the self titled album by the Italian doom band, I Compagni di Baal. Ha.
