Yeah, I still give the other members of the band credit for their performances. It's unfortunate that Shannon and Scott didn't end up performing on a lot of other work.

TSOP hits the brick wall early imo, overall it's still not an album I listen to but to its mild credit it's an album where I can end content that I stuck with it since the songs get better as it goes on (worthless cover aside of course). ITP is basically just the same boring song over and over with a different gimmick each time, and by the time The Philosopher comes on I want to snap the disc.

I really havent listened to latter day Death forever. I have them all except TSoP, which I remember not liking.

Album is way better than the art. Not in my top 10 of the year or anything but it's a fun mix of Dissection, symphonic BM/DM, and just a dash of some Devin Townsend flair at times.

Rebirth is my fave of what I know but I dunno if it will appeal any more. It's a lot less ballad-y than Holy Land though if that's one of the things you didn't like about it, and not as chuggy and dry as the first one.
