Lets assume we're all morose motherfuckers (yeah, like we're not already). What albums would you listen to if you could just wallow in your melancholia for a dark weekend?....

Katatonia- Last Fair Deal Gone Down
Moonspell- Darkness and Hope
Anathema- A Fine Day to Exit
Saturnus- For the Loveless Lonely Nights

I think I'd probably end it all after a weekend with just those albums....

What do you people think?

p.s This is a cool thread.

Katatonia - DO
Anathema - Judgement
Jeff Buckley - Sketches for my sweathart, the drunk
kent - Vapen och ammunition

and to finnish the weekend of with a bang:

Katatonia - Brave Murder Day, Discouraged Ones

That´s it. Maybe some October Tide, but I would have to go and get them from Nevershine. And that wouldn´t do good to my deep, deep depression at all. It might be cured. So just Katatonia.

Esoteric - Epistemological Despondency
Thergothon - Stream From The Heavens

Tell me about it. I only have the samples and I'm hanging out for that album. I check the only metal store in Melbourne and the miscreant hadn't even heard of the band...

I'll have to order it.

Well, it's a doom record I have always dreamed of!
The atmosphere is so unique I even don't know how to describe in words (in paintings, maybe...)
The keyboards are awesome, almost of soundtrack quality(noir movie perhaps).
There are both male & female vox, the male ones of Pasi of Amorphis, providing monstrous growls AND clean singing, the female ones rarely sing the words, only the notes(adding the melody to the crushing guitars). There's a bloody violin too, so, I don't think I need to say more...

are you getting wet yet?:D ;)

Wet? I ejaculated some time ago.

I was astounded at Pasi's vocals on the sample... and now I can't wait until I hear the whole album. God.... it's fucking exactly what I've wanted for so many years...
