Albums of note lately?

I've nearly shut down buying new CDs until I start absorbing what I have, like I used to 10 years ago.

It just seems like they've finally understood what makes a song memorable, as opposed to just playing all the same riffs without any thought for cohesive songwriting. The biggest problem I've always had with JP is that all their shit sounds the same at the end of the day. Try to find samples of the new one perhaps - this is remarkably better/different than before, but it's still got the Jag Panzer trademarks, so don't go in blind if you completely dislike their previous efforts.

Cool, thanks for the tip. That's exactly why I didn't like previous Jag releases. Absolutely nothing was memorable about them.

Also, please explain what this new Astrofaes release is? I thought it was a re-release of old material? Is this brand new material? If so, where can I find it post haste?

The Attraction of Heaven & Earth...yeah it's a re-release but still kicks massive assage.
...Those Whose Past Is Immortal is also already out (on cassette) and it's very good, but the CD release isn't until January 2005 from Supernal Music.

Holy shit I need that. I'll probably wait for the cd though since my car will probably eat the fucking tape.

It's good and top 10 material, but it does not beat "Heritage" or "Ancestors' Shadows."
