Albums with 5150 on them.

All the In flames as far as i know
Most Joe Satriani albums

I am quite sure that Satriani never used a 5150 on record and if he ever did he only used it for a couple of tracks. For the longest time he played a Marshall 6101 Anniversary and now he plays and records with the Peavey JSX. I heard somewhere that he played (modified) 5150s live during the developement of his JSX amps. Aside from that he always talks about using small vintage and custom amps in the studio for certain tracks.

In Flames used 5150 on most albums thats true. Keep in mind that it is very likely that in the Fredman days the 5150 was combined with tracks from Fredman's legendary Savage 120 (not a fact but TheStoryTeller and others who worked with Fredman suspect it....)

Arch Enemy used 5150s before Doomsday Machine I think....

I've read a few in depth Satriani articles lately, where he talks about his love for the amp (i had no idea it was used until a few months ago either), although not used exclusively as a main amp as you say, in the video on the Peavey site for the JSX he talks about using the 5150 on most of his albums at some point. Most albums since crystal planet have had an original 5150 in there somewhere. In most interviews he says it always winds up getting on there somehow. Not sure if it was used on super collossal but some guys said it was there. There's more over at the Satriani forums, and also theres a full making of the joe satriani album in this video, reel satriani from back in the 90's here, and it seems he's got 2 Marshalls and a 5150 lined up together, although no evidence of him playing through it, i'd guess its there for a reason.

@kev: I stand corrected. Very interesting video you linked to as well!

dont wanna hijack this thread but what about albums with 6505's?

Hmm....its the same amp except for the front plate, so....you could say all albums above were recorded with the 6505....
