Thank you again to Marc of http://www.playamericavisas.com

On May 18, we shared on facebook:

NEWS: All bands (except 1) have received the preliminary approval for their visas! The final step is for them to complete the consul interviews that we are coordinating with them. We anticipate no issues with these interviews. The remaining band that has not received their approval was submitted 2 weeks after these, and we anticipate receiving the final approval in mid-June.

This is the fastest we have EVER received our preliminary approvals!! Major kudos to Marc of http://www.playamericavisas.com

I hate to be 'off topic', but I was checking out that site and I looked at the bands recently approved and Elvenking is one of them !! When they say 'recently approved visas' you wouldn't happen to know how recent would you? Elvenking is my favorite band and i'd kill to see them live here in the US of A, although i'm wondering if this signifies the visas they got for playing Progpower back in 2008 (which I unfortunately missed) or if they are gearing up for a tour soon.

That looks like it is a list that they have gotten their visa's in the past from the site. There is a few non active bands on there who I don't see coming over to the US to play a few shows.

Visas are current around the dates of the current year festival only. I have no knowledge of Elvenking's future plans.

Well, that's heartening at least. Usually they are good about answering questions on their Facebook, so I think i'll have to do some investigative work. Thanks!

I am willing to bet money that Elvenking does not have any plans to do US shows. That is a list of previously processed/accepted visa work that Marc has done.

Glad that MYRATH got theirs approved, gonna be great seeing them live FINALLY. Only sad thing is that their manager and father of the guitar player passed away a few months ago and will only be there in spirit.

I was definitely concerned about Myrath's visa. Now I just have to pull all the requisite strings to make sure I'm at PP again this year. /crossfingers

Awesome job Marc!
