Already hear hew ENCHANT

It is great that you love TUG, and that you promise to buy it when it is finally released. Everyone out there that already has the CD burned follow the same path, and buy it. Enchant will cease to exist if we just download their songs. :erk:They don't profit from their awesome musical creations if everyone just shares the tracks, so lets support them.

Sorry for stating the obvious,
Jim

Bands dont make money off record sales record companies do. Bands make money from merchandise and touring unless they are self produced and home recorded. So sharing the track will heart them none. And if they are still on inside out like i think its no biggie hell record compainies suck anyway. If you dont believe me go here under interviews and read also get some songs there all free every album they have why bc of my opening statement. Planet Gemini

That cant be true that Enchant does not profit more when they sell more CDs. Yea that may be true that artist dont profit from CD sales with the likes of Brittany Spears, Metallica, Linkin Park, Limp Dick..I mean Biscuit, any other Flavor of the Month on a Major Label. Also, Enchant hasnt toured since 98, and I cant imagine them doing this just for the hell of it.

Hey I want to support Inside Out by purchasing their CDs. They support this very small prog/progmetal genre extremely well. If they did not exist, a lot of those bands would not exist. They dont have the time to self produce themselves, and especially set up the distribution of CD. I bet it is not too easy to get an Amazon to carry your CD if it is self produced.

No one benefits in this prog community if everyone just downloads the tracks, and burns CD without purchasing them. There is no justification for that.

Nome of this is true about bands getting nothing from cd sales. Even the worst of contracts pays the band for each disc sold. The average for a major label band is under 1 dollar per disc. The hip-hop group Salt N Peppa went bankrupt a few years ago after selling millions of albums. The deal had them getting a measly 50 cents or so per album sold, one of the poorer contracts out there. I'm not sure how the smaller labels work, but its more than likely a band on a small label like Inside Out would actually get MORE per album. That is why some bands prefer to stay on independant labels.

Both do, and both should because both invest time and money in the end result, being the cd itself. Without InsideOut or another company to do the job, none of us would be able to hear Enchant's music.

There's a lot of hard work that goes into composing, recording, and mixing a song, and that work should be appreciated. If you're too cheap to think that good music is worth the cost, then just say that instead of coming up with lame half-assed excuses, mmkay?
