Amazing ears

What would make an equalizer...cost 5000 dollars?

Kickass video by the way

I never touched one, but GML is known for being absolutely transparent, depends on what you want.

If anyone gets the chance, listen to this cd, all made with GML gear, recorded and mixed by George himself, played live, mixed on-the-fly.

Apparently it's kind of unsettling to be in there for any great length of time, according to some people who have worked in there.

George: ....I think you can pick out a couple of peaks, I can hear one at...

Me: *mind flash tells me 2kHz*

George: '2k'

Me: Profit!

Legendary guy, no doubt. Glad to see this habit of 'singing' frequencies isn't a quirk I've developed, but actually in use by some fairly amazing guys out there too. His method is very familiar, which is awesome, but he makes it sound so great with so little processing. True golden ears.

that's why my mix seems so muddy

I couldn't watch the video but

I've been doing that, not aloud, but often accompanied by a ridiculous grimace , especially somewhere between 400hz and 800hz.
