Amazing night in Toronto with CoB...

I saw Bodom just a little while ago and it was their best show here since they first played in Toronto. They had a great playlist and everyone was going nuts. I was surprised to see CoB get such a big response from the fans here but it was great. I didn't really pay attention to Evergrey as much and I didn't stay for all of Iced Earth cuz my friends had to leave and we wanted to meet CoB.

We went outside and it was raining and then Alexi came out of the bus and everyone followed him under this shelter to stay away from the rain. Anyway, we all gathered around him and started chatting for awhile and then we took pics with him and got his autograph. Even my mom got her picture taken with him and she doesn't even know him, lol, but she does now. But before that he told all of us to gather around so their camera man can tape us for the CoB dvd. He told everyone to yell "Children of Bodom suck!", lol, but everyone just went crazy and started screaming. Alexi's a really cool person to talk to.

After that Janne came outside, which was great cuz I really wanted to meet him. It was funny cuz my friend was walking away from the crowd and bumped into Janne and Janne's like "It's alright" and that's when Janne and I shook hands and he introduced himself to me. Then we got his autograph and pics taken with him. I started chatting with him about Warmen and he said that after the tour he's gonna go back to recording the next album, however, he said he doesn't know when Warmen will tour here. We chatted some more. He's a really nice guy.

Over all, this was CoB's best show in Toronto and I hope that I see them headlining here next time. I'll post pics as soon as I get them done. I had the best night of my life and I'm too excited to go to bed.

Yeah, Bodom Was Amazing Last Night. Luckily I Have A Computer To Type On Cause My Voice Is So Shot From Singing(Screaming) Every Damn Bodom Lyric. This Was My Second Time Meeting Alexi And He Is Such A Great Guy To Hang Out With And Talk To. It Was Great To Sing Happy Birthday To Janne And Knowing It Was His Birthday Me And My Friend Got Him A Bottle Of Vodka. The Guys Were Very Thankful Of The Gift. Yeah, my throat is totally killing me from singing and screaming and my body's sore but it was fun. And it was great singing Happy Birthday to Janne, too, I wish I had given him something for his birthday but I didn't have anything. I gave him a hug before I left if that counts as anything. Anyway, I'll try posting pics either today or tomorrow. :)
 
May 1st (this saturday) is just around the corner. im fucked psyched \m/

Yeah, it was pretty cool

I hade to convice my friends to stay so we could meet Alexi and Janne and it was worth it. I just wantted to stay and chill with them but they started bitching so we left. But i got pics with alexi, and talked to him for a bit, it was pretty cool. Nice guy for sure. Hope That is on the dvd :kickass:
 
Quick question about the Iced Earth setlist. I heard they smartly didn't start with the Star Spangled banner or declaration day, but The Burning Times. Anyone know of the changes to the setlist. I post this here because everyone in the unofficial Iced Earth forum seems to be in coma(lol). I'm going to the Montreal show and wanna know if they play the gettysburg trilogy.

They played Burning Times, Vengeance is Mine, Meloncholy, Angels Holocaust, Red Baron, My Own Saviour (I think, cuz I wasn't paying attention that time), Something Wicked trilogy (that's when I left), and they did play the Gettysburg trilogy (someone who saw the whole show told me). I'm sure they played more songs but I was sick so I didn't pay too much attention.


There's no point of me posting the actual concert pics cuz I was kinda faraway from the stage when I took them. I already saw Bodom live up close but I was really sick and was in no mood to be squished by other people. In the following pics I look horrible, lol, cuz my hair's messed up and I'm really ill. Cool pics !!!! And great you've had fun :) . They look kinda exhausted to me, more than last year definately :erk: .

^Janne doesn't even smoke cigarettes, and Alexi doesn't smoke weed anymore (he used to do it when he was younger)....they all prefer drinking :D .
Don't know for sure about the others but I suppose they are clean, too. Never saw them smokin' shit.

Hey I saw you last night Metal Maiden. I was standing like right there the whole time. If I would of Recognized before I would have said hi!

I was there with my girlfriend who has long red hair, she was where her hatecrew longsleve and a black labeless hoodie and I was there with my follow the reaper shirt and I have long brown hair and a chinstrap. YOu probbably weren't paying that much attention.

I once asked Henkka about that in Holland (whether they've been to coffee shops there), but I was so drunk that the answer somehow disappeared from my brain... :loco: . I've always been annoyed about myself 'cos I thought about it so often and just couldn't remember what he had answered :lol:.
 
Wow, Alexi is such a cool dude and all the rest of the Bodom dudes, I just can't help but keep thinking how these big bands don't do shit like this, like just chill with their fans. I got to meet all theR but roope last time they were in frisco, really great dudes.
