Well said. There are pundits on both side, whose only purpose, is to create controversy and boost ratings/sell books. This is true of both sides.Dark One said:And herein lies the problem of forcing yourself to get over the frustration and retain a sense of moderation at any cost when trying to discuss politics. If you don't, people tune you right out. That's the problem with the Ann Coulters, Sean Hannitys, Nancy Pelosis and John Murthas of the world. It's wholly unproductive to just spout out ideology.

Im not simply saying they walked in once and signed a form and that was it, Im saying they got in irregardless of the fact that they did not meet the requirements for recruitment. Im sorry but you cant tell me I have hallucinated all this and that some of my good friends and there family are all lying to me Obviously you seemed to have experienced something different though, so Im not going to say your lying about first hand experience, just that I have seen otherwise.
KILL TULLY said:Also you did say they 'walked in once and signed a form and that was it', but that doesn't matter really.
En Vind Av Sorg said:yes its called blatant exaggeration old chum, just trying to make my point. I suppose most people around here were shown the back door entrance then, and most military recruiters I have encountered werent particularly interested in upholding the LAW of the United States.

brother, comparing murtha to coulter or hannity is silly. you may not agree with murtha, but he is a certified war hero, not some flamethrowing commentatoring metrosexual like hannity.Dark One said:And herein lies the problem of forcing yourself to get over the frustration and retain a sense of moderation at any cost when trying to discuss politics. this is true of lots of people, the military can give your life structure. unless of course you can't handle structure and then it sucks. I was accepted to the Citadel and it would have been a train wreck. I could have dealt with the mental abuse but the mathematics and engineering emphasis would have crushed me.Reign in Acai said:Everyone I know that has joined the military has come out with more integrity than they had going in. - FACT
