I guess someone should mention the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, which is always at the Palladium in Worcester, MA (about 1 hour west of Boston).

It's usually in late April/early May, though I can't find any info on it for 2006 yet.

they don't announce till Feb usually and I didn't mention it because its become predominantly Metalcore infested(probably because the Palladium booking is in The Hostage Heart)... Gamma Ray is headlining one of the days this year, and it looks like that Exodus/Cryptopsy/Immolation date will be in Worcester on one of the typical fest days...

If Gamma Ray is headlining one night, that puts the fest on the weekend of April 28-30, b/c they're playing NYC on Monday night, May 1, and I knew they were playing in Mass right before that.

Way too much -core for me, but they do often get 5-7 decent bands/night. Of course now they're lazy about it and simply book whatever tours are crossing the country at that point, i.e. Exodus/Cryptopsy/Immolation.
