In search for particular death metal...

I wouldn't say better, but from what I heard, it's definitely more atmospheric. It sounds quite different from modern Fleshcrawl.

I just got "Ex Oblivione / The Fragile Concept Of Affection", a split by Altar and Cartilage, it was released on Drowned, which means it kicks ass. The Altar is pretty good, the Cartilage is classic. It's a bitch to find, I think.

I have that too, and agree the Cartilage is a classic. I had a bitch of a time finding it as well. Where did you get it?

Is there anywhere i can hear samples of this release?

Yep, Descend... is actually a shitload better than anything from either of those bands, methinks. Much more atmospheric.
I agree, though Fleshcrawl first adopted the "Swedish" dm sound after releasing Descend into the Absurd. Descent into the Absurd has more in common with early Incantation and Demigod than it does with Dismember, and I like the style better than the style of their later albums. I think that Dismember's Like an Everflowing Stream is better than Fleshcrawl's latest Made of Flesh. Descend into the Absurd is easily Fleshcrawl's best, and I think that they should have continues playing death metal in that vein instead of becoming an early Entombed/Dismember clone.

Descend... just oozes atmosphere, pace is varied to great effect. It isn't quite as powerful as Demigod, but hey, what is? Incantation is a good comparison - I think Onward to Golgotha is just a tad inferior to Descend....

Dismember are a bit lacking in atmosphere for my taste, a bit too thrashy maybe. Like an Everflowing Stream is decent though. Pre-gay Entombed is alright but doesn't really interest me. I can do without the bands who try to nostalgically revive that style, later Fleshcrawl included.

I havn't truly minded Entombed's more recent material, but IMO, their last excellent album was Wolverine Blues.

New Fleshcrawl is interesting, but I was personally pleased by what little I heard of Descend into the Absurd. Dismember were also alright, but I prefer Fleshcrawl.

Therion pwns them all, methinks...

Riding Our Black Oceans will delight fans of early At the Gates. I hear that The Gloomy Reflections of Our Hidden Sorrows is great too but I haven't heard it.

Members of The Chasm were in Cenotaph. There is a hint of their sound in some of The Chasm's work.
