Helga is not a real person, there is a story of her. A man was with his wife called Helga on a festival. He lost her there and run all over the campground and screemed: "HELGAAAA!!!!"

Some people thought that it´s funny and so they also screem Helga.

I am officially going to Wacken, my brother and I will be ridding the Belgian chariot to the mighty Teutonic lands. Don't think I will be camping, so if any of you plan on staying in a hotel, let me know I might try to book at the same hotel. After the festival, we might go on with our journey and go north the mighty Densk land for a couple days. Of course our trunk will be packed with Belgian brew.

Well I would like to take showers each day as well when i'm on a festival...and sleeping in a soft and warm bed is also great......, but then I would miss Scraming across the festival terrain..

I heard six different stories about the origin of "HELLLGAAAAA" and I was too damn drunk the whole weekend to remember any of them . But that's okay!

What's also fun at Wacken is singing a chorus from a song by whatever band played last, and inevitably, some drunk Germans around you will start singing along!

Anyhow, there's no argument that if you want the REAL festival experience, you camp. I made the mistake of commuting back and forth from Wacken to a hotel in Hamburg the first time I went ('02), and I barely had any time to enjoy that clean bed I was paying all that extra money for. And there's nothing in the world like that grimy feeling you get on the second or third day of camping at a festival.

But yeah, Amon Amarth kicked ass at Wacken in 2002, and they will do so again tenfold in 2004!
