you can find great deals for Holland. i'd say around 600-700$ sometimes even less, it all depends on how good your travel agent is...
the whole trip to wacken including flights, hotels for the first days (i assume you will camp there if you'll go....) food, drinks and some shopping shouldnt cost more than 2000 - 2500$
of course- if you plan to go only to the festival without buying anything- it shouldnt be more than 1800-1900$.

Airfare 700-800$ ok, but how the hell do you spend the other $1200 just by going to the festival? Lucky this year I should be able to use my 50,000 (need another 3K) delta skymiles & get a free trip, then we shall ride from Hellgium to Hamburg and then Waken and stay in some hotel for 4/5 days. The hotel is about the only expense we will have + gas and festival tickets. All that is even far from $400-500

Belgar, I think that u need 75 or 100 K miles for free international airfare with Delta or it's partners. With 50 K u can upgrade to first or business class and travel with class and not with all those peasants in the back. 
I would like to go but only for the weekend. Quick in out which is what I'm known for. Anyone here in the states up for it? Don't want to travel by myself nor do I know a soul in Germany.

Nope, I travelled 2 years ago with 50K and didn't pay the ticket..
