I have this one drinkign game...called Patric's drinking game...say if you're 2 guys, you take 6 beers...thats 3 beers for each...the guy who empties the bottles fast enough wins another beer. And I always win so you've been warned.
 
Went to Wacken 2002, my first time, to see Amon Amarth live the first time.
Didn't know anyone part from the friend that went with me, but we had an amazingly good time.
And the fucking weather...
First sun and heat so damn hot you couldn't bare it. Then it starts to rain, and damn what rain....
Then the mud.
But hell, enough warm beer and everything is ok.
One thing though, realized I had WAY too little money with me to buy all the stuff I wanted, so had to stand in line for several hours in the balzing sun to get more cash, missed half of Immortal even...

Back in 2003, almost had forgotten about the bus ride from the year before.
After 24 hours in a bus your back starts so complain a bit. But once you get to the camp site all is well again :)

I will return this year again, by bus 24 hours once more...
And like the first two years I'll probably be so drunk on the bus so that I will not remember Denmark on the way down...
Second time I'll see AA live on Wackenb.
Also saw them at Bang Your Head 2003 and once in Stockholm, Sweden.
Last night I learned they will play Umeå in northern Sweden, "close" to where I live, that will be great.
Not too bad that the show will also feature Cannibal Corpse :)

See you all at Wacken! I'll be the drunk one...
 
i am too lazy to read the whole thread, so is there already one who will be in charge of organizing a meet and greet for all the forum people or is it my turn?
i am quite sure that there will be an offical signing session, but i suggest to do it seperatley from it..
AA will play around "early" evening on friday, i guess they will start somewehre around 2000-2100...

hmmm cant afford it either, but then I dont have the time to do it either, couse I have to take a long time of from work in July to go to the US....

but just have to do it later and Amon Amarth are playing in october so just have to make sure I dont have to work there :P (will be the 3th time to see em live, I think...., wouldnt have mind to say it was the 4th tho ;) )

Well this sort of things manage themselves mostly....but if anyone actually wants to meet...we can make a plan...


Any of you WackEn party-AA fans..know the biergarten from Paulaner...we can meet and greet there...and see from there on...
 
Im gonna try... if I can that would be excellent, but if not... well there's always another Wacken next year.Im probably getting a summer job as a counselor for a camp, then after that I have CCSF (City College of San Francisco). But Ill probably have money.

i would say that this is too far away from the vip/press/backstage area where the band will hang around...it will take ages too get them over there - and it is outside the festival area...i suggest to meet near the VIP in and out entrance..thats left from the big stages or behind the smaler stage on the total left side...so nearly the farest point in the back on the left side if you enter the festival ground :loco: - near the meet and greet place...
i will sort something out with em...
