Amp + Impulses?

The tubes and OT in the power amp section is a vital part of the more "classic" rock tones as far as I´m concerned.

What I meant by this is that for example a Non Master Volume "Plexi style" Marshall, generates very little preamp distortion!
One needs the distortion and sag created in the power amp in order to get the entire tone.

Get a THD Hotplate and use it in conjunction with solid-state poweramp impulses and you'll be flying! Best thing I ever did.
