well, what can i say... that was incredible, with songs i never thought they'd ever play live...

vincent put up some music before the concert... beatles & mogwai for sure, i don't remember the rest.

there we go... 6 songs from AND, temporary peace, pressure, release & underworld from AFDTE, wings of god [i can't believe that!!!], sleepless [absolutely fantastic!!!], angelica, other stuff & a little bluesy piece... danny started playing the 2 notes at the beginning of shine on you crazy diamond pt 1 before the band hit the stage with fragile dreams... then followed the encore with comfortably numb...

photos to come [i hope]

and i also wish that some people that was there yesterday will post here

bye bye

definately one of my favourite ever gigs. i can't say that we have ever played better than that. the set was

balance, closer, pressure, release, fogotten hopes, destiny is dead, are you there? wings of god, inner silence, pulled under, one last goodbye, parisienne moonlight, a natural disaster, judgement, panic, temporary peace, flying, 2000 & gone, albatross, sleepless, angelica, fragile dreams and comfortably numb.

one of me fave venues transylvania for sure...a great night.

Voi bastardi fortunati. Era in Transylvania? Quei tipi sono dappertutto l'Italia! :ill:

yes, they played there. Also in pinarella di cervia (Rock planet) they were great... :worship:

no i am at the desk where the punters give their coats in and that. theres loads of em in here its great. just been visiting rome and had a bite to eat. couldnt find any catholic artefacts for our man strangelight though. its a bit touristy. i'll try tomorrow.

I've got to go and travel abroad to see anathema on the next tour or this Summer, maybe try and incorporate it with a holiday, would be great, nearly went to this one tonight actually but didn't in the end

I am one of the lucky bastards that were at Rock Planet last saturday, eheheh... the best and exciting show I have ever seen, for sure.
I wrote also in your guestbook, but I see you guys are here in the forum very often, so: thank you very much for all beautiful emotions you gave us during these years.

Ehy Danny, I know you played, at the end of that gig, with (or against) my friend and colleague Davide at... how is in English?... "little football, with little plastic men to play with hands"... arghh, if an Italian boy/girl can help me, please: which is the correct translation of "Calciobalilla"?
Anyway, my friend doesn't want tell me if you won or lost... Danny, how the match finished?

the gig at the transilvania yesterday was simply amazing, danny thank you again for the improvised photopass
lee sang on 3 songs, danny did are you there and i was so happy to hear it cos they didn’t play it at the london gig 2 months ago; wings of god was something else which i didn’t expect to listen to; then, a couple of cover songs (albatross, and comfortably numb which was not on the setlist but thanks to the transilvania crew they could also play it as a second encore) and since many people were asking for old songs, they did sleepless
btw, vinny was still wearing the same red shirt, haha
danny already posted the setlist (but you forgot temporary peace ;)), 23 songs, omg, probably the longest (and for sure one of the best) anathema gig that i've seen (and this was the 18th!)
i was hoping to go to treviso tomorrow but it seems that i can’t make it..let’s wait for the summer festivals---gods of metal! opethpainter see u there, ma sei di milano? comè che nn ti conosco?
