I still haven't gotten into Lights Out and bothered to listen to the earlier Anathema...but A Natural Disaster alone is so much better than Saviour.

that's where you're wrong. their doom easily stomps the shit out of their later stuff. it was more eclectic and more original. their later stuff is also good, but a lot of it is blatant ripoffs of Pink Floyd and (especially) Radiohead.
