Ancient Dreams confirmed for Midwest Metal Anthem

Hey,
I know there were only a a handful of us from the forum there on Friday.

Midwest Metal Anthem was run very well.
The Brauerhouse size wise was perfect for a show like this.
Ray did a great job with the fest.
I would say there were a good 100 people, if not more, throughout the night.
There was an outside patio area where about 20 folks were throughout.

I was sick as a dog , but I heard the food there was good.

Moving this from JJ Kelleys was definitely a good move for this fest.

No doubt Ancient Dreams will be looking to do another gig there in the future.

the one thing that was super messed up was no wristbands or anything so that fatass who I paid to get in tried to make me pay again.

Yep, good call!!
They had one guy at the door who second guessed anyone walking back and forth. I usually got the "I think you just played right"???

I mean, even a hand stamp would be easy enough.

I thought they were better at Ragnarokkr but they were still really good. They need to play more shows.

Oh really????
The vocalist this time at least "almost" knew most of the words!!!!

That was not the case at Ragnarokkr...
Though for Ragnarokkr he had only been in the band for literally like 2 weeks.

Anyhow, I thought they did a fine job.

From their FB page it looks like they are doing Indiegogo (different type of Kickstarter) for a new album.

Doesn't look like they have raised much, so I hope it does materialize someday.

he had a computer telepromter on stage for the lyrics...it was a really nice one actually.

Yeah, Pat told me he had the lyrics on the monitors...
Better than Rob Lowe when he first toured with Candlemass.
He had the lyrics in a sprial book where he would flip pages during a song.

At least Paul from Novemebers Doom admits he doesn't know his lyrics and just attaches an IPAD to the mic stand..... Sure, he still looks down live, but at least its not at the floor!

Lowe still put on a great performance in my opinion.

Ripper also did the spiral binder thing when he toured with Yngwie.
