Thanks for your input Marc, we do appreciate it. Yes we are definitely approaching (and being approached) as many labels as possible, to make sure we cover all possible avenues, before we sign. We are particularly focusing on the European market, for all those reasons you mentioned and then some. It's no secret that while the metal scene here is getting slowly better, it still isn't regarded in the same way that it is in Europe. Furthermore, we've always been fond of the european scene and most of my personal favorite bands are from there.
One problem we do run into, though, is that alot of European labels and critics tend to put us down because they accuse us of "copying their bands". We are definitely inspired by the bands who influenced us early on, but we've never set out to copy anyone and alot of the bands we are accused of copying weren't even around when we started writing like we do LOL The point is, we have heard from quite a few Novembers Doom fans in Europe and Asia with much praise, but we seem to encounter resistance from the labels and critics in general. What do we do about it? Well, one thing that helps is the support from YOU! It might sound crazy, but the more these labels and magazines hear from people like you that you want to see and hear more about Novembers Doom over there, the more likely it becomes that it'll happen.
Right now we could really use everyone's help in getting our name and music out there, especially in light of our searching for a new deal and trying to get over to Europe for tours and fest. Anything you guys can do to help spread the word and let people know that we ARE wanted over there, the more it helps us, and we of course are forever grateful for it.
So thanks to any and all of you who stand by us and support us, we do appreciate it and we'll do what we can to keep you guys and gals satisfied!
