and have a nice weekend too

It's holiday here so we get a nice 4 day weekend (most of us anyway). Thanksgiving, a time where we give thanks for slaughtering the indians, stealing their land, and calling it our own! We celebrate by enjoying a large Turkey feast.

Once Iraq becomes America2, im sure we'll have some other holiday we can celebrate as well.

Ugh.

Just turned 16.30 h. here in Holland. I'll take the bus from my job in Drachten to my home in Leeuwarden (aproximately 30 kilometres) so I can begin to enjoy my weekend. :loco:

Still awake?
Hey i just shipped a package to your city at my job the other day that is so cool.

We are currently still searching for a new label. It's going to take some time to find the right home for us and negotiate everything. We're very hopeful that we'll get this settled as soon as possible, and especially hopeful that we'll secure a good European deal so that our cds can finally be made available there withouth having to order them from overseas. If and when that happens, we're definitely gearing up to come to Europe and play! Should we come to Holland, you think?

Sort of like the last supper, only with indians instead of jesus... and no crucifixtion involved... and turkey instead of bread....

Well, it's good to know that there's something happening with Novembers Doom. I mean, it would be a shame if not finding a deal would mean the end of your great band! You know how things like that go... Sounds to me you have some choice in which recorddeal to choose.

If you can pull it off to come to Holland, I think you would be suprised to see that there are a lot of people into your band.
Maybe it's an idea to get in touch with a label like Nuclear Blast. Your sound is as European as the next "big" thing from Scandinavia or Germany. And Doom Metal (oké, if I have to categorize..) is very much alive. More than those overdone "look-at-me" rockers that, for a strange reason, are very popular in the U.S. I guess we're just more down to earth. In Friesland (the most northern part of Holland where I come from) for sure anyway!! :Smug:
O.k., there are some great nu-metal bands, but guys like Kid Rock or Marilyn Manson, well, what can I say. They didn't throw mud at him for nothing at Dynamo Open Air (or was it Lowlands). :headbang:
What I'm trying to say is; metal is more alive overhere than it was in a long time and you are a great metal-band, so I think it's worthwile to get your asses over here!

Greetz..

Thanks for your input Marc, we do appreciate it. Yes we are definitely approaching (and being approached) as many labels as possible, to make sure we cover all possible avenues, before we sign. We are particularly focusing on the European market, for all those reasons you mentioned and then some. It's no secret that while the metal scene here is getting slowly better, it still isn't regarded in the same way that it is in Europe. Furthermore, we've always been fond of the european scene and most of my personal favorite bands are from there.

One problem we do run into, though, is that alot of European labels and critics tend to put us down because they accuse us of "copying their bands". We are definitely inspired by the bands who influenced us early on, but we've never set out to copy anyone and alot of the bands we are accused of copying weren't even around when we started writing like we do LOL The point is, we have heard from quite a few Novembers Doom fans in Europe and Asia with much praise, but we seem to encounter resistance from the labels and critics in general. What do we do about it? Well, one thing that helps is the support from YOU! It might sound crazy, but the more these labels and magazines hear from people like you that you want to see and hear more about Novembers Doom over there, the more likely it becomes that it'll happen.

Right now we could really use everyone's help in getting our name and music out there, especially in light of our searching for a new deal and trying to get over to Europe for tours and fest. Anything you guys can do to help spread the word and let people know that we ARE wanted over there, the more it helps us, and we of course are forever grateful for it.

So thanks to any and all of you who stand by us and support us, we do appreciate it and we'll do what we can to keep you guys and gals satisfied!
