And the words of a prophet are written on a subway wall...

Awesome, I did not know The Cure had a new EP out......By the way my favorite is Disintegration...I also love Standing on a Beach..The Singles (even though it is not an actual album)...I love all of The Cure. jAY

Its staring at the sea ;) Or something like that. Otherwise I'm missing a Cure cd and I was pretty sure I had everything they have ever done including bootlegs

All of 'Dark Side of the Moon' and 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason' by Pink Floyd :D

"One slip, and down the hole we fall, It seems to take no time at all, A momentary lapse of reason, That binds a life for life, A small regret, you will never forget, There'll be no sleep in here tonight"

"Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day, You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way"

"The lunatic is in the hall, The lunatics are in my hall"

"There's no sensation to compare with this, Suspended animation, A state of bliss, Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies, Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I"

" On the turning away, From the pale and downtrodden, And the words they say, Which we won't understand, "Don't accept that what's happening, Is just a case of others' suffering, Or you'll find that you're joining in, The turning away"

So, what lyrics do you consider intelligent, insightful and thought provoking...and incredibly well done and beautiful?

Well, what I consider incredibly well done, another probably wont. The fact that Opeth lyrics are the only ones that I've had to pick up a dictionary and discover what all these new words were that I don't use EVER and see the meanings behind them...and in turn those words making an emotion come out of the music that I didn't see before.

That's thought provoking. IMO, well done. I didn't know what the fuck a Dirge was? A DIRGE?! :) When I got Still Life, I sat on the floor with my headphones WITH the dictionary first. I knew I'd need it to fully enjoy what I was about to hear.

I like what some of your signatures have in them. Particularly, real quick, I like Leadfoot's right now. Mind power.

"Nor the emeralds know my mark."

Actually, I think Jonas Renkse, the lyricist and vocalist from Katatonia writes astoundingly emotional lyrics.

Tracks like 'For My Demons', 'Gone', and 'Tonight's Music' reach the peak of emotional frailty.

Well, here´s some of mine..

metallica - one
katatonia - i transpire
dire straits - sultans of swing
smashing pumpkins - ava adore, tonight tonight
opeth - demon of the fall (by the arrival of autumn)<- love that part, harvest, the moor etc. etc.
