Andy sneap forum band "the unrest"

maybe I could zip all the files if someone wants to mix and master it ?
but Its alot of files tho..

just let me know if someone wanna give it a shot.

Thanks man. We are four members. One from the USA (myself) and the rest of the guys from Sweden. It's been an amazing ride.

I met Jesper (the guitarist, also responsible for the mixing) on this forum. I tried some of my vox for an earlier demo a couple of months ago. We liked the sound so much, that I made a trip to his studio in Sweden (while studying there) to record a few tracks.

For the vocals: we used an AKG C 414 > Focusrite Twintrack Pro (also as clock source/ converters) > Mbox 2

Jeppe, you'd better fill them in on the guitar chain.

Appreciate the feedback man. Hope to make more metal with these boys soon.

Oh my fucking god, that punch! :O
This is without doubt my favorite mix ever!
Not my favorite musik, but damn.... I cant belive how everything just feels like getting hit by a frikkin train.

Good work my fellow swedes (and american :), great track! Maybe a little work on the levels and a wee bit less compression, otherwise it sounds good!

I really love the music (VERY Soilwork, which is definitely a compliment), and I think the vocals sound fantastic (killer singer!), but honestly, the guitars sound kinda distant to me. Not a matter of level, but I feel like they could use more presence in the upper mids, like around 2-4k (but that's just a ballpark estimate), cuz they've got the body and the fizz (but not in an annoying way), just missing...something...in between. Really really cool though!

Was the Mesa cab you used the oversized cab or the standard?

Tnx som much guys! :) Im very happy now :)

It was the standard MesaCab.

Ok I try to work on the guitars abit. at the same time I will "conselidate" or how you spell it hehe all the tracks.
But I have very slow internet connection right now, so it will take a while before It will all be uploaded but I will start fixing it today :)

Shall I keep anything else in the mix except the waves?
